I really wanted a pocket chainsaw but know that a lot of these "Survival" tools are just cheap toys that quickly fall apart after you first use them, so I didn't have high expectations. Turns out the chainsaw is a sturdy, well built and surprisingly good tool. I cut through a maybe 3 inch diameter overhead branch with it in less than 30 seconds. It bit in immediately and sawed right through -- it wasn't even an effort to saw it as the handles are very comfortable and the blades are very sharp.

Easy to carry! This little saw will cut through a decent sized tree. What it does have going for it is portability. I use it mountain biking for blowdowns out in the trails. Other more capable saws are bulky to carry on the off chance you need one. This can be carried with you every day.

This product is great for anyone who likes the outdoors and camping. This chainsaw can easily cut trees to get a fire going. The best thing about it is it's size, easily fits in a pocket and is lightweight making it ideal for hiking.

I havent used the chain yet, but it looks okay. The teeth are acceptably sharp, so you dont have to sharpen them before first use, but you should check, in case yours are full on arrival.

I was able to cut a 10" diameter log in a matter of minutes. This thing cuts fast!

Will come in handy while camping, to cut down dead branches for firewood. Nice little chainsaw.

In all seriousness, you should have this in your 72-hour kit, BOB, doomsday pack, etc... They work extremely well and take up very little room. A MUST have in my opinion for anyone wanting a solid emergency kit. This would cut through a telephone pole with no problems and keep going. The only variable here is YOU and how much stamina you have. We have cut through a 10"-12" diameter tree trunk in less than 3 minutes.

Sharp, well-made easy-to-use saw. Very handy tool to have in your backpack. You can take down branches or small trees. All around good product! I tested and I'm very happy to have them with me on my trail.

bought it to replace my leatherman pocket knife/saw, always good to have if you are stuck and need to cut a piece or branch. I keep it in my truck with the rest of the camping gear!

The Pocket Chainsaw is more than expected. My husband said the saw is made of quality materials. We look forward to using them on our upcoming camping trip!

Used the saw to trim a branch off a lilac tree. I have had problems getting an open shot for a regular saw on this tree before, so the chain saw has helpful. I think in some ways it requires more energy than my bow saw, but it works where that saw doesn't.

Just came back from an outdoor weekend. We were camping and wanted to cut some woods for our campfire. We used this chainsaw and LOVED it. It cuts well and very easy to use.

Cant believe how well this worked! Used it to thin out some trees and brush in a tight and compact area. These are now going in my Go-Bag!

Used this to cut down a very large tree limb over 20 feet off the ground. It took a few hours but I saved hundreds of dollars that tree service wanted to charge. Nice and sharp. Hardest part was getting it over the limb in correct orientation of chain so it would cut. If they designed it to cut on both sides it would be better but nonetheless well worth the purchase.

Not only is this kit necessary in an emergency, but the saw is perfect to get into tight places and saw through wood where a normal handheld saw or power equipment would never fit.

Finally had a chance to use this and I was not disappointed. It works better than any other saw Ive brought with me for camping. Me and my brother even raced between this and a regular camp saw and I won easily. Plus with its small size it easily packs away and isnt awkward to carry in to your campsite. I definitely recommend anyone to get this for camping.
